The Proposal stars Sandra Bullock as Margret a 44 year old workaholic, chief editor of a new york publishing company her career is put on hold when it turns out that she failed to properly apply for US visa. She quickly solves the problem by threatening Andrew Paxton (played by Ryan Reynolds), her loyal and afflicted Assistant. Margret pressures Andrew into marrying her. Immigration agent Mr. Gitberson (played by Denis O’Hare) Thinks the marriage is set up, so she can keep from being deported. Before the wedding Andrew and Margret must learn everything about each other in order for her to stay. Andrew brings Margret to his home town of Sitka, Alaska, in order to marry her.
The Proposal is a great comedy and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
Also on another note Betty White plays Andrews grandmother who is turning 90 as is hilarious, You can watch the movie just to see Betty White and be happy. Everyone Loves BETTY WHITE.
The Proposal is not one of Bullocks best movies and I thought there were a few awkward moments in the movie between Bullock and Reynold. Reynolds brings a lot of the comedy to the film, While still making it a somewhat serious movie.
The Proposal is a great Movie to watch on Netflix if you want a family comedy.
